From the moment you walk through our doors, you and your child will be greeted by one of our dedicated Educators. As you sign in your child with us in our warm program room, you’ll share your last cuddle of the morning before your child is off to join their Room Leader and friends to learn, play and explore with us!
Our purpose will be to fill your child’s day with fun activities that reflect their interests, needs and capabilities. We love offering your child new opportunities to learn through interactions and experiences that develop their physical, cognitive and social connections.
Engaging and safe environments:
Depending on your child’s age, they will become familiar with a space that has a variety of natural toys, inviting spaces and age-appropriate challenges all at their little fingertips!
Our environment will enhance your child’s creativity and provide ongoing opportunities for skill development, and encourage their wonderful imagination.
As well as being encouraged to explore inside and outside at their own discretion, your child will also have the opportunity to experience daily activities such as risky play, messy play, regardless of weather!
We understand that what your child eats impacts their overall health and happiness. It also influences their ability to be active and engaged throughout their day.
We’re delighted to offer your child healthy snacks throughout their morning, a healthy lunch and afternoon tea, all prepared daily by our resident cook.
We cater for almost all dietary requirements including allergies, cultural and religious preferences.
Though our menu changes daily and depends on seasonal produce, a typical menu may look like:
- Rice, sautéed vegetables and meat
- Homemade Lasagne
- Fresh Fruit
- Crackers and homemade dip
Our written program evolves daily as your child’s interests grow and develop, and we encourage initiated play, active, individual, quiet and group facilitated play. This variety of play and learning allows your child to build self-confidence and also builds upon their school readiness.
Clyde North Tuckers Road YMCA ELC also offers children the chance each month to participate in excursions such as a visit to the local park.
When you arrive to pick up your child, you will have a wonderful opportunity to speak with their Room Leader or an Early Learning Team Member about your child’s day, their learnings and their overall development. Our team will collaborate with families, and this is the perfect opportunity to let us know the areas you want your child to focus on.
We cannot wait to fill your child’s day with engaging, fun, safe and caring environment.
